It’s August, and it’s HOT! We all love summer, but our cars can’t always keep up. If you’re headed out for a road trip this summer, or just trying to survive the busy commute, you’ll want to make sure you’re prepared for the chance of your car overheating. This is a nuisance that is easily preventable with standard auto repair maintenance! Check Your Fluids: Make sure that all fluids are topped up. Do this early and often, and always before a trip longer than 2 hours. This is one easy way to head off problems before they start, and it gives you and your mechanic a good idea of what’s going on with your vehicle and how quickly it’s consuming these fluids. Forewarned is forearmed: If you get stuck at the side of the road with a vehicle that is overheating, you’ll need to replenish water--for yourself, and for your car.
