Scary Monsters of the Road

Halloween stories are incoming! The urban legends of America have crafted some incredible tales of monsters and cryptids! In this article, we’ll present the three that caught our attention!

The Grunch Road Monster:

The Grunch Road Monster, also known as the Bayou chupacabra, is a goat-like creature with scaly black-gray skin and long horns. The monster is said to roam the land around New Orleans! The legend of the Grunch Road Monster has spanned since the founding of New Orleans itself. Nowadays, the monster supposedly lurks around Grunch Road in the Eastern New Orleans suburb.

The Jersey Devil:

Also known as the Leeds Devil, the Jersey Devil is a cryptid that inhabits the Pine Barrens of South Jersey. It’s been described as having “hooves, a goat’s head, bat wings, and a forked tail.” The legend goes that the monster was a 13th child of an actual family, but that may be some clever political tarring. The largest concentration of sightings was in 1909.

The Mogollon Monster:

Native to the state of Arizona, The Mogollon Monster is a recurring legend that has stood the test of time. Sightings have been reported as early as 1903 across the! Some people call it Arizona’s Bigfoot! Fun fact, North of the town of Payson, there’s actually a set of brightly colored footprints dedicated to the Mogollon Monster!

Christine, the 1983 horror film:

This supernatural horror film about a killer 1958 Plymouth Fury scared the crap out of us when it was released. There have been plenty of monsters on the road, but Christine takes the cake!

Christine wasn’t even the first instance of a possessed car encountered in fiction. Before that was the 1977 film The Car, with James Brolin. Weirdly enough, there are reports of real haunted cars out there! That was slightly spooky to type! Thankfully, all of these stories are just fiction! However, if you want to avoid real dangers and mistakes on the road, we’d love to help with top-notch auto repair!
