Young Drivers: What We Wish We Could Tell Our Younger Selves About Car Safety

Young Drivers: What We Wish We Could Tell Our Younger Selves About Car Safety

Photo by why kei on Unsplash   At the start of our driving journey, we have all made countless careless mistakes. Unfortunately, that’s just part of the process. The best teacher in life is experience. We can’t guarantee you that you won’t make many mistakes when you start driving. However, we can help you out by listing some of our biggest mistakes so that you can at least avoid them! Here’s some of what we had to learn the hard way as we grew: 1. Speeding is not worth it. However, if you are on a busy road, the wise decision would be to be patient and wait until you have enough visibility to pass the other driver. Speeding may be fun, but you shouldn’t do it.   2. Giving Gratitude For Our Cars

Giving Gratitude For Our Cars

Photo by Element5 Digital on Unsplash As we gather together for Thanksgiving and say our graces and show gratitude to the people who make our life better, maybe it’s also a good time to give praise to that family member that we rely on too readily and credit too little: yes, I’m speaking of your BMW. Think about how much harder your year would have been without your car behaving reliably and being there for you when you needed it. While you can’t give your vehicle a seat at the table this year (not even the kids table), you can do a number of things to reflect the love your car is giving you, from the small to the grand:   Clean your car. A dirty car is unhealthy, both inside and outside. Grit and dust and pollen on your car can clog your car’s systems, choking them. A dirty interior can lead to mold and other problems. And you will do more to protect a car you think of as clean and attractive. Happy car = happy driver. Keep a clear view of the road. Y ... read more
